Riding Boars also called War Boars, are large boars bred for use as cavalry by certain groups. They require more specialized handling than horses or even riding dogs. They are temperamental at best and if their handler doesn't feed them daily and work with them on a regular basis, they may turn on their rider at the most inopportune of times. A rider of low Willpower (less than 30), will be unable to effectively control a Riding Boar, the beasts are just too stubborn to obey them. However, under the right care and under the control of an effective handler/rider the Riding Boar can be a fearsome mount indeed. There have been a few rare reports of a Riding Boar standing over its fallen master defending him against any remaining threats. This however is a quite rare occurrence and would only possibly occur if the rider raised the boar from birth and spent extra time and attention on the boar throughout its lifetime.
Feral Riding Boars can also be encountered in the wild, they are just as ferocious as any other wild animal encountered in the wastes and will not hesitate to attack if disturbed or threatened.
I tried to eyeball this one based on the stats of other animals and beasts in the core rulebook, hope I didn't miss the mark too badly. Feedback is welcomed and appreciated!

Cool. If your mount is killed you can always eat it!

Aw, excellent! If it's okay with you, I'd like to gather some wild boar reference images and see if I can illustrate this beast . There are non-riding wild boars, normal pigs and a couple of other freakish swine in the upcoming Mutant Beastiary book, but the boar you have here is bigger, tougher, smarter and comes with a standard mutation. The variations of base species can only be expected in a mutated world, where regional differences based on exposure to mutagens, genetic manipulation, and other factors would give rise to a wide variety of sub-species. Characters may meet a mutated animal in one valley or ruined city, and then meet an altogether different strain someplace else, and be thrown off by the different strengths and deviations of each.
How many passengers can ride this thing? Maybe a gunner could sit facing backwards?
Also, there is nothing to say that the beastial human pig character type couldn't be derived from a wild boar.
We'll add it to the main SOE resources section of the site ASAP and along with the other creations you and others have come up with here; plus, enter you in the first contest for the original art draw.

Thanks for the praise Will, I'd love to see you illustrate it! I'd imagine two riders could easily ride this beast (with maybe a third, for the bigger specimens), but I imagine it would be too ornery/temperamental to tolerate much more than that. Hadn't thought of a gunner facing backwards! Sweet Idea!!
Thanks again for creating such an awesome game!
