Happy New Years 2012, and Thanks to you all for 2011
by WillMcAusland » Wed Jan 18, 2012 7:33 am
Thanks to all of you who not only bought The Mutant Epoch but became Society of Excavator members, and then the elite among you who joined this forum!
2011 was a busy year and far more successful than I initially imaged. The response by the gaming community has been remarkably warm from fans and many blogs, forums, reviewers and other RPG outlets. Sales have been up every month since the release and although 2012 started with a typical January slump, things are picking up again and there are steady sales once more.
When I we released The Mutant Epoch it was very much on blind faith. Now, with a growing fan base and a daily increases in the number of buyers of the Hub Rules, I know this is TME thing working, and so to what sort of content is most widely appreciated and how to proceed with new books. With The Mutant Epoch and Outland Arts becoming my day job, the outlook for 2012 is extremely bright. By this time next year, there will be many more hefty TME books available, and much more.
We are in the midst of renovations right now and will be moving to the new bunker studio in about a month. With a new studio designed for the sole purpose of producing Outland Arts content, gaming and illustration... things can only improve.
Thank you all for a great 2011 and we plan to offer you even greater content, RPG resources and one to one relations in 2012!
Sincerely,
William McAusland
The Mutant Epoch is on Facebook!
by WillMcAusland » Mon Nov 07, 2011 8:18 am
Hi all,
We will be announcing this in the newsletter and on the blog, but thought we'd let everyone here know first.
We've finally set up a Facebook page specifically for The Mutant Epoch game and setting. We just loaded it today so there isn't much happening there yet. Our priority is to SOE members here on the forum, but will probably post a few things over there first to get some public attention. I have never been a huge user of Facebook, but hear it is popular so thought Outland Arts should give it a try.
Hope to see your faces finally!

Designer's Diary at Roleplayers Chronicle

Aaron T. Huss over at Roleplayers Chronicle asked us some questions about The Mutant Epoch and just released them in their Designer's Diary.
Here is the link. If any of you want to login over there and make some favorable comments, they would be worth their weight in silver to us, helping in our mission to eventually become the number one PA RPG and setting. Here is the link:

I think I'll post this on the blog as well, but for those of you who don't wander over there, here we go...
Well, Another BigCon gaming convention bigcon.ca/ has come and gone. I've caught up on my sleep but now we need to get back to issue three of Excavator Monthly... and promotions.
Here is a snap shot of our booth from my blackberry. I'll post more from later in the con as I get them from other attendees and staff.
There weren't as many people at the convention as I'd hoped, but the ones who were there were sure the right ones. Thank you all who came to the booth and rolled up a character and bought a copy of the Mutant Epoch and Mall of Doom. And thanks to Adam Trudel, High Octane Comics, All Aboard Games, The Kamloops Anime Club, The Zoo, and so many others for all their hard work, especially the minion volunteers.
I have to say that setting up at a gaming con is one of the most exhausting, yet fun, things have ever done, at least in recent years. I can't imagine doing this at GenCon for three days with so many gamers around. I'd need a team to man the booth so I could at least go pee.
Looks like we will need to restock our local inventory.
Thanks again,
Will
