Hi everyone. I recently came across this game and was really taken by the theme, art, and everything. Unfortunately I haven't role played in years and it's unlikely I could actually round up a group of people interested in playing this. Normally my interest in the game would die off after reaching this realization, except I read that this game is somehow compatible with solo play. Can anyone give me a run down of what exactly this entails? How does it work? Is it any good?

One key note about solo play, is you will need to make a super character. The reason is that several of the random encounters will say "X creature(s) per excavator plus (random number) extra". For example in a case of the combat saying there is "1 creature for every PC, plus 2d4 extra" a group of 4 characters will face anywhere from 6-12 (outnumbered 1.5 to 3), as a solo character you will be facing 3-9 critters.
Your best case scenario is someone else's worst case, so bump up those stats, give them some custom mutations (eye lasers & super regeneration?), and hope that is enough to let your character survive.
