Come Experience Lilac Towers, it’s to die for…Exposed by a recent landslide, the 11th floor entrance into the once luxurious Lilac Towers is now visible. The PC adventurers find the pathway up to the mysterious ruins while tracking hostile skullock and moaners. Why would two mutant species who normally hate each other work together? Who rules them? What horrors, and loot, will be found in the buried hotel? Only a closer inspection will reveal the truth.
Lilac Towers is our 5th One Day Dig and was written by Danny Seedhouse. These short, single session adventures are crafted to showcase a bit of The Mutant Epoch setting and flavor, introduce some creatures and relics, as well as offer an example of how the Outland System game mechanic works. While previous ODDs were designed for first rank characters, this one’s a bit more challenging and PCs should at least be of 2nd rank. This is a Pay What You Want product. Broke? No worries, grab it for free, or check it out first and pay later, or if you like what you see now, please feel free to throw a buck or two in the tip jar, and leave a review someplace. Danny and I sure would appreciate it!
Contained in this 15 page pay what you want product are 8 maps, 14 illustrations and two creature variants including Moaner Immortals and Tuskers.
More One Day Digs are in the works, and don’t forget to check out our free PDF line of Creatures of the Apocalypse www.outlandarts.com/TME-cota.htm

Hi Guys,
Really pleased you like Lilac Towers and the whole One Day Digs line. Yes, the plan, like the Creatures of the Apocalypse, is to put them in a print book as well as a PDF book with several never before seen ODDs. I am working on a couple myself, as are other folks I know. Really looking forward to seeing yours Bloodaxe.
By the way, thanks for the PM about miniatures. I agree that the expense of casting pewter minis is huge, but the guys I met with are very motivated modelers and minis guys and one of the main purposes of the 28mm minis is as collector items. I have some paper mins in the works for TME but they turned out to be a massive black hole for time and I just never got back to them. I should though. They are truly an affordable way to go and I like the look of them. Also, gamers could buy sets from other paper mini publishers to bulk out their collection.

I used to love having hard-copies of my books but several factors have changed my mind over the years..
1) Real Books cost WAY more 2) Real Books take up ALLOT of space 3) Real Books are WAY harder to transport 4) With Real Books you can't get free errata-corrected updated versions
just my top 4 reasons (being on a fixed income is my personal #5 reason).
IF I had the money, the space, & the time, a REAL personal library to sit in & read would be wonderful.

Hey Mutantlord, I think you maybe miss-tweeted something. Ain't this artwork from the beginning of Lilac Towers not Flesh Weavers? semi-quoted from Twitter "Opening scene ink art from The Flesh Weavers. Your characters are ambushed by skullocks!"

Ah, crap, you're right! Still got Flesh Weavers on the brain. It was a 6 month project and still in the blood. Oh, I have just started enjoying digital books now. Got some stuff on my iphone that I am using the kindle reader APP, and a few RPGs in PDF on my ipad that I read while camping and such. Very handy, especially if the font is small like in the OSRIC print book. I tend to be a book collector, however, and like to make pencil notes as I go. I used to color my old rpg books when I was much younger, my 1 ed Gamma World book is very vibrant! WM

I like real books. Always have, always will. I have space and the extra bucks for them, as i dont have (too many) other bad habits.
===============
Ive seen other artists do paper mini sets. They would offer to draw a players character, from their description, for a set fee. The character would be added to the pdf set. After 50 (or whatever ) slots, the pdf book would be finished. People who bought a character got the whole set. 50 different characters , $250-$500. People came up with some neat & unique ideas. This was for ICONS! super hero game. Could work for Mutant Epoch too. Just a thought.
Not alot of post apoc mutant cardboard/paper minis out there. I looked. A few, not many.
================ I have a few ideas, and two rough outlines for ODD. One is based on an old D&D adventure from the early 1980's. It will require a new creature, but should be fun.

I'm no master artist or anything but I have posted some PC portraits I created over in the "Your Best Character Builds" section of the forums in my little topic "Thorneldrich's PCs, NPCs, & other drivel" & some gear images under the Home Brew Salon "Valiant Arms Catalogs & Appendices [Part 1]" topic & finally some robots under the Home Brew Creatures "Various Robots, Androids, & who knows what else!" topic. Maybe they could give you some ideas (or a good laugh depending on what you think of them). Hm.. really not trying to promote my art/crap. Honestly, just thought they might jog some ideas out of your imagination (even if it was "Things NOT to do").

I found an error in Lilac Towers. The descriptions go from A-F. The maps only show A-C. Can you tell us where D-H are? Thanks!

Look at the Main Area Map p.15, map #7 A, B, C are generic rooms, guard/living rooms, unlooted rooms in the hotel interior and are the most numerous. There are several. D-H are on the main map and are unique. I think you are just missing the main map.
