I have decided to start my very own Holy Purist Army! I have begun with my first Platoon of Forty Soldiers. I have a special commander coming from the UK named Colonel Zanzibar to lead my army! I will make up stats for him once I paint and post his images. Also I will be getting a Scrap Tank from Ramshackle games really soon and get that painted up an posted as well! Please follow my progress as my Holy Purist Army comes to life.

They look awesome, and are beyond my painting skills, but i can hardly see them as super high tech, especially with their super conservative ways compared to the other purist faction whose name i forget, that they always squabble with.

In my game M1 Garande / Muaser style bolt action, five bullet clip fed rifles are as common place as the musket rifles that most people have. They are just more expensive to build and replace. the way I see it if you have people with the skill to reboot a computer and rebuild a robot then there are people out there with enough skill in gunsmith to build bolt action clip fed rifles. The purists just have more workshops dedicated to making the weapons then any other faction. it gives them a slight tech edge in most battles but not enough to make them superior. besides they hand make each rifle so only the NCO's, Officers, and Elite unit commanders have access to them from the Purist Quarter master Depot. Overtime they will become the main weapon of the purist army in my world and thus make them a better equipped army.

Ah it's a difference in style then, for me, i love the thought of, as expertly put by a player, "Medieval apocalypse with tech thrown in here and there" I suppose more "Road Warrior", less "Fallout". Most of the characters in my party are rank 2/3 and have yet to have a single relic weapon/armor on them. Still pretty cool minis.

Pretty much boss! Thats exactly what im going for too. Sort of a balance between the two would be perfect, but its a difficult road to walk. The mutant powers and the cyborgs make it more fallout then road warrior. In fallout 2 the village of Arroyo was a pretty cool concept and i have put large tribes of nomadic neo-indian clan culture based people into my world. most live in the great steppe to the south of the crossroads region. There are so many neo-indians that if they attacked the crossroads region it would be overwhelmed by there numbers unless the major factions of the crossroads region unit to oppose them. Even with their low tech weaponry 1-2 million indian braves would be to much for a divided crossroads region. For lack of a better name i have dubbed this group the Apache War Nation. Left un provoked they are content to live in the great steppe and never even venture into the crossroads region but if hostile actions ever come to the great steppe that effects them, the crossroads region will be in for a fight of a lifetime.
The Apache War Nation is in contention with large clans of Skullocks that live in the great steppe as well, and they keep these huge clans of skullocks from invading the north. So in essence they are a neccesary part of my world that allows the crossroads region to exist. The Apache War Nation do not hate the skullocks but fight for the same resources. There are many half-skullock apache. Warmorts are also semi-excepted into the Apache Nation Culture. The Warmort numbers are closely kept in check by the human clan chiefs of the apache. Apache Warmorts are genuine members of the Apache clans but outside Warmorts are not excepted.

Nice job on the mini's. I love arts and crafts style GMing; it's not hard to add a little something to spice up the game. My skills are limited, however. Keep up the good work.

Its actually really easy Prov13! There is a company called the army painter, and at there website they have three videos that are really simple and easy to follow. I think each video is like 3 minutes long or something but anyways i watched all three videos and picked up the materials needed and painted my first minature pretty good. The army painter makes it look easy and the way they teach you how to do it makes it easy. i was really impressed how easy they made it seem and the how easy it was when i followed their instructions.
Glueing the damn miniatures together is the most dificult part !!!! its so aggrivating when they keep falling apart !!!!
Next time im buying they assembled first lol!!!

Oh, I've painted some mini's, I'm just more comfortable with terrain and background. I have an entire bag of zombie clowns that need a base coat and some space marine/40k lizard men to convert to ME. Not to mention making some Gallus-gallus beastial human figures for our game. I don't have a lot of free time right now. Trying to get a nursery finished.

I found some really cool miniatures that would make excellent Purists but they were a little to pricey for my blood. I can get (30) Miniatures for about $70. Thats a little steep if you ask me and it doesnt even include shipping and handling. However they are gorgeous miniatures and look like the would be perfect for any Mutant Epoch table. you can find them at link
