aight, so first off, because 3 fisted sammy was so long winded on his deathbed, we decided to do a medic check...and succeeded (assuming it was an INT roll, its never really specified in the book what roll you make to stabilize...). the plot device killed him though. D:<
we then determined that one of our characters was too young to have been in the original attack, another was probably in school and so on and so forth. leaving Connor MacLeod as the only one who would have been there...at the age of 9.
moving on to the actual adventure, there was no encounter as we moved around east of the crater. at the ruins we decided to go up the path to the mesa...and a skullock riding a giant bat appeared. Connor signaled a stop (at 5 stealth he is the natural scout and is out front) and delivered a report to the telepathic mutant in the party, and one of the part members was promptly shot at by the skullock. the battle joined with Connor running forward to attack with his bow while the rest of the party slowly mosied up behind him and/or fired shots from relic guns. the battle was one sided, with Connor delivering the final blow to the bat at the max range of 25m for his musket pistol (the bat was directly above him). skullock and bat plummeted to off the edge of the mesa and to the ground below.
we then came to the river and the dreaded party split, Connor and the BH-Rat elite soldier choosing to cross the stepping stones and encounteringa large mutant alligator. which was promptly dispatched by us as we ran to the shore and shot at it, then clobbered it with melee rounds as it got closer. it did however do a great deal of damage to Connor, who now has 25 of 40 enurance(1 hit D:). the rest of the party went over the bridge and had a ranged duel with a band of skullocks. and thats where we ended it, no one dead, 3 or 4 injured out of a total of 5 players. some of us really badly injured, (one of the other guys only had 12 END left). we each ended up with 50 experience factors as well. bring on the random encounters while we rest and lick our wounds!
