Is that a New Mutant Race in Excavator 1? by Brutorz Bill » Sun Dec 11, 2011 2:39 pm
Excavator Monthly Issue 1 features some art with the Net Gun on page 22. My question is will the mutants featured in that illustration be a written up mutant race at some point? They look like freaky mutant elves to me, so please count this as a vote for them to have a full write up. : ) Radioactively Yours, Bill

We could give it a shot.

Indeed, but if WM has them already on tap, we can channel our energies elsewhere! I'm slowly working on my TME Campaign notes, just wanted to have some "stable" mutant races to put in some different areas. Those I mentioned above look ripe for the picking! LOL : ) Brutorz Bill

That’s true. We gotta throw up a pic- so others know what we are talking about.

Oh, these guys.... No, no plans to create their own race, but they do have a distinct group appearance and you are free to stat them out as their own sub species of humanoids or mutant humans. I am also kind of curious about what the hell they caught in that net!

I can't find it in the free art so I don't want to break any rules by posting copy written stuff. You understand. The Mutant Lord is re-posting what other's said on the old boards. He didn't say he would actually show us; sorry. In Excavator Monthly #1 (pg 193) there's a description a a net gun. About 4 pointy eared mutants have captured something. The're all similar enough to look like a race..
Reminds me of the elves from Darksun, but a bit more ugly and gnarly.
I downloaded the EM Compendium for around $11, I think. Well worth 261 pages!
The following is just my take on the concepts. My post is based on bad physics further gunked up with years of sci-fi gaming, books, movies and even radio(!), written more for drama than a firm grasp of reality.
