Death Poison Overdosage [New Rule] When a character succeed an Endurance hazard check to resist a death poison (TME p.124) the next time he is exposed to the same poison its hazard type gain one rank (i.e. type A become B, type B become C, and so on). After all traces of the poison is gone from the character's organism that poison hazard type will return to its former value.
Design Notes: Having several characters with high Endurance in my group, the death poisons are not a very impressive threat and I like my death poison to be (well) deadly. In our last game our mutant (deer) pirate was bitten 8-9 times by snakes with death poison while being stunned. She had a 99% chance of succeeding the hazard checks. The player in question rolled her hazard check with a smile of confidence on her face. With this rule her last hazard check would have been 62% and the tension of succeeding would have rise each time making it more meaningful. It also make the scene where a character falls into a venomous snakes nest a bit more frightening. I will give total immunity to death poison only to mutant with a special mutation or cyborg with blood filter/anti-toxins implants.
