Limb Regneration is one of the mutations but the only thing in the hub rules that specifically has one loss a limb/organ is "shooting out an eye" and "cutting off hands." I know that some monsters in the creatures of the apocalypse codex have specific critical hit charts that result in this.
Just kind of curious how you guys were handling it. Narratively or do you have some kind of system in place.

I've used limb loss by having enemies make called shots, so a shot out knee is a blown knee cap that'll not heal again, same with the eye shot and hand shot.

And this is why the players will soon learn to be very nice to the local mutant healer, or have someone with that power in the group. Plus lots of armor, impromptu or otherwise

In the honor of the grim nature of this game, and high mortality rate of the characters, I would encourage limb loss from enemy critical hits. They have a dice, which one of my players brought to my attention, is a random limb dice, you toss it and it is like a d12 but has “left leg” , “right arm” etc. on each side. And if an enemy scores a critical hit And does enough massive damage, ie 20-30 or more that could constitute a significant impact of limb decimation...

Flux, I like that. One of my players recently asked that I implement some limb loss, i.e. dig up my old school critical hit tables from the 80's wherein all kinds of body parta used to get lopped off. So far have been using something sounds similar to what Timberriault does, it only happens with a called shot.

Critical Fumbles can result in some pretty nasty self-mutilations when explosives & acids are involved too! [Display: Evil Grin]
