So i just rolled up 8 tentacles on a mutant character. Do you get a melee attack with each tentacle? Could you hold multiple shields?

I would say yes to both questions, though I might tweak the multiple shields to maybe only a max of 4 tentacles can hold shields as shields take up a large amount of area. They would in essence cover all sides if you wanted. One to the left, right, back left and back right, making a kind of box and only increasing DV by a max of 2 shields. If someone is shooting at you from the front the shield to the front left and front right would have both their DV values, but not the ones on the back. Also there could be a minus to SV attacks while using both shields due to the fact that they could hamper vision and restrict proper swinging of melee weapons and/or aiming of ranged weapons.

Thanks Savage! I was leaning towards yes to melee attacks but unsure on shields.

My pleasure yynderjohn. If I was to add to the -SV ruling I would have it be the DV of the less protective shield. So a shield that gives -5 to DV would give -5 to SV if employed with another shield. I also would not let players have the +5 SV value to a tentacle using a melee weapon like a dagger or club. I would state that the +5 is only for its bash attack which is more of a natural motion than when the tentacle is trying to use a melee weapon. Thus I would have a tentacle with a melee weapon be at the character's base SV value (plus any bonus to SV provided by the weapon or if wielded with 2 tentacles as per using a weapon two handed or weapon expert for the given weapon).
