Looking at the collected picture of the Excavator Monthly issues that's somewhere on the main site, I noticed that issue #3 has on the cover a "NEW PC Character Type, HALFIES" that is not actually present on the cover or in the contents of the released issue. It's certainly not in the collected volume that I have. Did this never exist? Was it cut out at a late stage? And are we ever likely to see it, or is it now represented in the halfbreed rules in the Character Reproduction section of the SOE "Mature" section?
Heh. Probably pushing it a little to have called them halflings...

Good question. Never found that, myself.
Edit: "Slippery" is the only half skullock I found in the compendium. "Halfies" are mentioned in Crossroads, pg 267, but not detailed. Pitford, pg 13 mentions halfsies "(half-warmort, half-skullock, etc.)" as acceptable town watch. Also, 27, 76 (Smokey's Scrap), but no detail. Here is my take on it.
Defense Value: armor worn Endurance: 15+d20 Movement: 6m Initiative: by Trait Attacks: usually 1 Strike Value: 01-50 Damage: as weapon Strength: 24+D6 Agility: 20+D10 Accuracy: 30 Intelligence: 10+2D10 Willpower: 40 Perception: 40 (+1) Appearance: 4d6 Valuables: by Caste Experience Factors: 25 Morale: average Size: F/M 136-125/146-175 Weight: F/M 46-65/57-125
Most of these stats are based on averaged values. Greater size and the ability to blend into standard mutant populations means they aren't constantly wary of attack, but more of their brain is devoted to using their senses to look for danger vs PSH (instead of higher cognitive functions). I'm thinking they still retain a slightly better sense of smell*. More human like features gives a slight bonus to APP. Individuals could have higher or lower statistics. * I always thought skullocks would be more susceptible to dust and airborne irritants than PSH. Increase HC by one degree harder. Lack of nose and nose hairs = one less filter. Olfactory sense is located inside the skull, not the nose, so they shouldn't be less sensitive than PSH.

Let's hope this works as I loaded the iPad version of the forum software.
So halfies are are coming in the Expansion Rules book, in progress, along with some wicked new character types, heaps of new mutations and implants, planetoids and much, much more!
Now, let's see if this will post! Will

It would appear that it did.
Good to hear the halfies will be making an appearance in the rules expansion. Will we be getting full body cyborgs too? Like Ghost in the Shell's Major Kusanagi? Difficult to believe that anywhere has the capacity to produce and maintain such individuals in the world of TME but you never know.

OK, got it now. Half and mixed Type characters are covered under the SOE:Mature/Player Character Reproduction section.
