Hi, first post. I've looked at a few other threads, but didn't find an answer, so... My Bestial received 3 Primary Mutations, etc. Are these Primary Mutations (p. 58), or Creature Mutations (p. 59), or mix-and-match? Edited to add: I'm going with Mix-and-match for now.

Welcome to the forums! timeshadows, your game, your rules. TME pg 24 "Note: Each beastial human PC is 33% likely to exhibit d3 primary and d2 minor mutations with a 1 in 10 chance of a flaw mutation." The Prime table (pg 58)is the one I use. The Creature table appears to be just a shortened version of the Prime. Please post your character. We'd love to hear about your game.

Thanks. I bought this recently, and have been making characters to get a feel for the system. Master Player > Bestial: Coyote > Fisher > Misc.: Negotiating 1 > Stealth 2 > Wilderness Survival Skin: Pink, Hair (Fur): Tawny, Eyes: Fox Red; 174 kg, 318 cm Right Handed, Excellent Swimmer 14 of 32 Years age Personality: Outer (social)-Orbit Observer +6 SV / +4 DMG with Spears and similar weapons Lowest Stat: Perception 45 Highest: Intelligence 86 -- most of the rest are between the high 50's to high 70's ^ 'Taller' arising from two Body Disproportion results; I combined them into one, 'Taller', and increased Weight as well as Height. ^ Dog Legs (heh) 14m Base Move ^ Advanced Mind ^ Blurred Vision I haven't named her yet. She's running with a Military Clone Gladiator ex-Slave (90 END, 96 STR), and a Serpentine Bodied Mercenary with 113 STR. I'm due to roll up two more for this group. I may use them as Pre-Gens or NPCs.

Whoa, a 3 meter tall pink coyote from hell! What a tough team so far! Could be some wicked villain NPCs. Welcome to the forum and TME community!

Thanks, William! The Characters so far are: [M] Leader: Transhuman Cyborg Technician (Borg Specialisations in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, and Robotics) [M] Lt.: Military Clone Gladiator taken out of the games by the Leader [F] Sgt.: Bioreplicant (unknown to any except the Cpl.) Pirate [F] Cpl. Serpentine Mutant Telepath [M] Pvt. Coyote Bestial Human Fisher (I re-cast it as a male) Obviously they have a boat of some sort, and I have determined that they are agents of a PSH/Transhuman Institute-Enclave interested in rediscovery and recovery of relics. Names of Characters and Group forthcoming. Question of William: What are the possibilities of other campaign settings being approved for use with ME?

Hi Timeshadows,
With regards to other regional settings, do you mean what if a TME fan created a regional setting, could it be published as an official product?
I have long dreamed to make an OGL (open game license)for The Mutant Epoch and have been looking at how other publishers do this. I think a community of hardcore TME GMs could work together to create side by side regions that are approved and promoted by Outland Arts, with content for either free download or purchase. Can you imagine if say six TME gamers from across the world decided to map out say, part of Florida, or part of Australia or the UK and each made a regional map... each joining those next to it, but the interiors showcasing the creator-authors own PA setting? Also, other settings, such as a different time line such as the year 2784 or something could be addressed.
I think the subject of approved settings will need its own forum area in the near future, but certainly don't wait to start creating your own regional maps and settings, and do expect a TME OGL license to appear after the Fantasy RPG using the Outland System is released.

William, Thanks for your reply. I posted over on the other SOE forum regarding porting my Urutsk setting to be an authorised TME-compatible setting. My setting has a very different starting premise, but ends up with all of the sorts of things that you have laboured so hard to bring to print, rules-wise, that it only makes sense to drive customers to TME and have it power my setting. Something along the lines of: Urutsk: World of Mystery -- Powered by TME. Requires the use of Outland Arts The Mutant Epoch Hub Rules" If some sort of TME OGL is in the works, then I'm on the edge of my seat in anticipation. You have a real winner on your hands. -Kyrinn

It also became our only hope for the future."

I apologize to all, as usual, for not being able to respond to every post here in a remotely timely fashion. I could easily spend all day here but need to limit myself to one or two posts per day otherwise I don't get to the layout and illustrations of the upcoming books. There is a lot going on right now creation wise, but sometimes I'd rather hang out on the forums and just talk TME stuff than work on it. Anyhow, I like the sound of how you said a PA setting book could be powered by TME, etc. I'm going to set aside time to really read up on other OGLs and figure out the best way to do this. Thanks so much for your interest in the game and setting. Will
