Hi folks,
Thought I would come up for air and just fill you all in on where the heck we are at on the long awaited and overdue Crossroads Region Gazetteer.
The short version, we are still a week and a half from sending it to press. From there, the books need to be in the distributor's warehouse at the same time they are available to Amazon, Lulu, Createspace and onebookshelf.com, RPGnow.com, etc. So, working as hard as we can, and me doing 12 hour days 6 days a week of late, with a hand injury on my mouse-penciling appendage... I am not going to make the end of October as a release date, but quite probably a very close completion date.
The long version, taking into consideration the above hand issue and release date, includes a bit of publishing info for those of you who are interested in the process:
Well, all the art is done, the final edits are inserted, the 33 maps are done and inserted, the links inside the PDF version are done, the historical time line is finally compiled and loaded. The updated cover is finalized and press ready. We have our ISBN, our manufacturers code and the sales info has been sent to the distributor. All that remains is to complete the index and check all the images to double check that they are the correct file formats. The NPC sheets (of which there are 20 and not 19 as advertised in some venues) still require completion, too. Once these things, and a whole checklist of little one hour to dos and double checks are ticked off, then we will have done it after three years hard work.
At 448 pages, there will never be another RPG book for the Mutant Epoch of this length, thus, never another wait for TME RPG books of this length. We plan to release upcoming books at 4 and 5 month intervals.
That said, I apologize for the book taking so long. Believe me we have not been slacking around here. Seeing the whole thing together in proof form is very gratifying and I can hardly wait to see and hear how players and GMs alike will utilize this first Mutant Epoch setting book. This is our finest product yet, of which I am very pleased to present.
Finally, I must apologize to all of you on the forums here who have been waiting for feedback on all the great content, questions and suggestions you've made here. Also, welcome to all new members both here and on our twitter feed @mutantlord . I expect to become very active on all social media the morning after this book is released!
Kindest regards,
Mutant Lord / William McAusland
