CHAPTER 11 - MOANIE MOANIE
The heroes sneak back into the sacrificial chamber to find a bunch of the moaners have snapped out of being in shock and are recovering, while others have bled to death. Tortilla makes some noise and three moaners attack. The grand fight goes on and three fat moaners with spray guns and hoses going into their guts join the fray. Rosalita Tortilla and Peepaw both get doused with their infectious, radioactive, acidic bile and some of their armor melts away. The head moaner Tonka also joins in with her shotgun but Rosalita hits her with a molitov cocktail and she is lit up. A few of the moaners run away into the dark corridors of the mall of doom after the group finally kill Tonka and the majority of the moaners. They perform more first aid on their new wounds and once again skulk into the sacrificial chamber.
There's no sign of the invisible monster nor the remainder of the moaners. They proceed up the escalator and find a few remaining moaners which they mop up. One of the moaners, in an act of desperation, knocks out his moaner buddy and offers him to the adventurers as a peace offering. He explains how he is "just the cook" and so the group calls him Cookie.
Cookie leads them around the rest of the level. They rescue at least a dozen captives, including human men, babies, and pregnant women, all of whom have been knocked up by moaners. They find the abattoir and a couple of the heroes get sick. They are advised against going in the bathrooms by Cookie. They are also instructed as to which door goes up to the surface, but they presume it goes up to the Kown temple and leave it for later.
They also find the briefcase of Kwonite wine which Tonka's key opens. Shma takes a swig but Rosalita grabs it away from him and puts it away. With the wine and survivors in tow, they return to the surface.

CHAPTER 12: KWON BUT NOT FORGOTTEN (The Final Chapter)
The heroes bring the survivors up to the surface but check in with Benwad before they parade them around town. Benwad is having a secret meeting with Gabrielle, and it turns out she's made a map of the Kwon temple to help the heroes. The survivors reunite with their families and the wastelanders are lauded as the heroes of Walsave.
Red Bull the travelling merchant arrives in town and the heroes spend their teeth on rocket launchers, fertilizer and other bomb components, flame throwers, first aid kits and lots of other good stuff.
At night, Kwonites come to the heroes in the stables to perform sexual favours but none are accepted.
In the morning, Benwad calls a town meeting at the behest of the heroes, and denounces Kwon for his alleged connections to the moaners. While the mob is getting riled, the heroes slip away to the mall of doom to check the armory in the recruitment center and to find the tunnel that may connect the mall to the Kown temple. They take a wrong turn and end up on the surface some distance from town. They run back to town, climb the wall and assassinate the Kwonite guarding the rear entry. They try to sneak in but are caught by two Kwon guards, and a firefight leads to the orgy chamber where dozens of Kwonites are holed up. Kiwi Cola lobs a can of tear gas in their midst and the heroes fall back.
Rosalita places a satchel charge against the wall to Kwon's chamber. When the wall is blown through Kwon activates his futuristic force-field generating glove and his guards, including a robot, attack the heroes. Kiwi launches a rocket at the guard with the flame thrower and destroys him, and knocks out Sunny D. The robot crushes Kiwi's throat and Kwon is about to escape down a port-a-potty but iPod sends a bomb behind Kwon's force field and blows him to smithereens.
The cult, leaderless, is dejected and disbands after the heroes confiscate the store of Kwon wine. Sunny D and other ex-cultists explain that the wine was made from a mix regular alcohol and some addictive milk produced through Kwon's nipples.
The heroes take their explosives into the mall of doom to send down the elevator shaft and destroy the invisible monster. When it explodes it turns visible and they see that it has bright blue eyes just like its father - Kwon! OH THE HORROR!
The heroes become lauded as the saviors of WalSave and enjoy all the benefits that implies.
THUH END.

A few comments about the adventure as a whole:
I made quite a few modifications to the scenario. Kwon went from an obvious mutant with dimensional powers to a handsome androgynous man who looked pure strain, but in truth a mutant with pheromones, immunity to psionics and the ability to produce a mind-controlling intoxicant (from his nipples, which he mixed with regular wine to create a valuable potion to procure and control minions). I also gave him bright blue eyes (but not unnaturally so).
I played him very smooth, suave, unflappable, using the voice of Ricardo Montalban. At first he appeared to laud and support the heroes, even providing them with equipment, assuming that his minions in the mall of doom would kill them. He was never out of control during discussions with characters and never outright disagreed with anything they said but folding their words into a conversation about how great the future is going to be for Kwonites and their allies.
It was perhaps a mistake of mine to have the cult for pure-strains only, since only one of my characters was not a mutant, limiting the amount of options between the PCs and the Kwonites. However it made a good story point as to why all of Kwon's mutant children were being shunted down to the mall of doom.
The god of the moaners I changed from the monster in the book to the grotesque, giant, invisible, amorphous child of Kwon - also with blue eyes which the PCs could see when the invisibility powers flinched when the creature took any kind of damage. One of the highlights of the game was the PCs watching the ritual as an invisible force ripped a sacrificial victim (one in particular that came from their home town) from the crucifix and devoured it - the PCs couldn't see the monster but they could see its victims chewed up and digested. (I had them make a backbone check to avoid running away or vomiting)
I also had the PCs acquire a 10 megaton nuclear bomb very early on in the adventure. It really upped the stakes in many encounters. I thought for sure they were going to use it during the scenario but was surprised they never did. For a moment it seemed like the cult of Kwon was going to get their hands on it.
Other characters I added included:
Sunny D: Kwon's right hand man and doer-of-dirty-business. This way Kwon never had to do anything unseemly himself and had plausible deniability. He talked like Peter Lorre and indeed the PCs considered that Kwon was in fact a nice guy and that Sunny D was the mastermind of all the evil stuff. So that worked out great.
Tonka: I thought the moaners needed a leader and a liaison to Kwon/Sunny D. She was given an amount of Kwon's special wine for her own uses, and was smart enough that she should parley with the PCs (which she did at one point) and bark strategic orders to the rest of the dumb moaners.
Councilman Bristol: There were no open Kwonites on the town council, but Bristol was secretly one. He was openly hostile to the PCs and tried to have them kicked out of town for any mistake they made (especially when it came to disrupting the peace between the town and the raiders)
Sawhand: Leader of the raiders. Inspired by Lord Humongous from Road Warrior, talked like Bane in the most recent Batman Movie. Early on in the adventure I had an encounter with a group of raiders (Sawhand not present) and when a couple got away to report to Sawhand he began scouring the area for them, soon coming to WalSave and demanding information from the townsfolk, otherwise he would begin chopping off body parts of his hostages. This put the PCs in a very difficult position.
Overall, very fun, everyone had a great time. Killed 2 characters in the adventure. Had them spend their money on a travelling merchant at the beginning of the last session so they had some powerful weapons to go against the final encounter, which they appreciated.

Despite the tremendous work I put into whittling down the "choose your own adventure" style of Mall of Doom into something I could plan out in advance, I really enjoyed it and it was a very successful campaign. This was my third Mutilator campaign. Just for interest's sake, the first Mutilator game was about a group that got run out of their garbage farm by invading snake-creatures riding monster-truck style unicycles* and after some trekking through the wasteland eventually found a group of morglodytes (like morlocks) who were building a railroad with human slaves from the surrounding city ruins (also eating them). With the help of an exiled, psionic morglodyte they entered their fortress (which was based on Steamtown** in Scranton, PA) and freed the slaves. Second Mutilator campaign was based on a dark sun adventure in which the PCs start as slaves on a caravan through the desert, inadvertantly rescued by elves who also happening to be poisoning a local dwarf community's water supply because they believe the dwarves are aiding the slavers. I changed elves to mutants (Children of Geiger) and dwarves to a stunted, leprous humans. The PCs were asked by the lepers to rescue their water-purifying mutant from the Children of Geiger. The mutants were holed up in an abandoned missile silo*** and on the way the PCs had to take shelter in a ruined amusement park****. Giant sowbugs, giant paralytic wasps, giant velvet worms, and a giant groundhog were encountered, and of course the ubiquitous raiders and slavers. *(similar to this crazy spiked wheel thing from Thundarr the Barbarian cartoon b.vimeocdn.com/ts/448/991/448991539_640.jpg ) ** steamtown - upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/34/Steamtown_Overview.jpg*** map of missile silo - thinkorthwim.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/drawing_underground_silo_complex.png**** Castle Fun Park www.castlefunpark.com/pages/explore-the-park

I did the same thing. Worked everything out on paper first. That way, we could spend more time playing without me pausing to roll absolutely everything. Still had fun with both.
