I agree with all what you say here. Putting aspects of it into a TME game document will be interesting. I'd probably go with several random tables, both for establishing slaves the characters can free, or the shitty circumstances PCs go through if sold into slavery and forced to escape. I'll probably try and get you to take a look at the document before I release it to see what you think.
Will Inking the first half of the Flesh Weavers art this week. Its been awhile since I spent full days on art, as I've been writing and editing so much of late.

Cool. Waiting for the next book. I hope the Mutant Epoch Companion (?) is soon behind it. Mutant Plants! Yes, Bloodaxe, the next major book after the Flesh Weavers is the TME Expansion Rules, although there are some adventures and creatures also coming out that other authors have been working hard on. Yes to plant characters... but there are creepier PC types in the works, too! WM

Writing about slavery, even in a fictional post-apocalyptic world, has been a struggle. What a dark aspect to our species. My research shows that there are more slaves on earth now than ever, that doesn't include people who are merely in debt and have no choice but to work at a job they hate, but people who can't leave their job site even when not working and are exposed to violence. Been watching the Spartacus series on Netflix. The Romans were amazing, but incredibly cruel. I've read that 1 in 4 people in Rome were slaves. Can that be right? Back to the pencils. WM It is true. In fact if I recall my school courses thorneldrich is right; the numbers were actually much higher atleast in Rome itself. Basically if I recall correct from my high school studies, slaves made up approx 40% of the population in Italy at the time. Like I said it wasnt as bad in other parts of the empire, but I think we can agree that that is bad enough. With what Thorne was saying though, Roman and Persian empires were actually surprisingly similar in how their armies functioned. A great many roman soldier were actually slaves trying to purchase their freedom by means of service to the empire. I believe they were considered Roman citizens only after what was it, 10 years of active service? That is if they lived that long ofcourse. The only other way that a slave could become a citizen (and this may sound odd, but it supported by multiple historical sources) is that they could buy their citizenship. Its indicated to have been exceedingly expensive, and you had to know the right people (as usual) but it was apparently possible. Problem for slaves though, is that they tend not to have money.

I know you can't, but a roughly estimated time frame would be amazing - I do so hope you'll continue to offer the adventures in printed format. Very much looking forward to... well... everything, haha!

Hey,
Yes, as much as I love PDFs and especially now that I have a iPad, I still love print books. The Flesh Weavers will certainly be available in print, and eventually we will be placing all the One Day Digs and other small adventures into one book (adding a few bonus adventures only available in the compilation) and the same with the Creatures of the Apocalypse. When we release about 4 or 5 more free COTAs we will create a full color book (both PDF and Print) and add some never before seen critters and sell that as a compilation, too.
I just started reading Kindle books on my ipad, but still prefer the look, feel, and smell of print books.
Okay, going to finish up my taxes and then get back to the last half of the Flesh Weavers interior inks! Having a blast doing the art for this adventure, but can hardly wait to start back on the Expansion Rules. Dying to draw parasites, abominations, and Plantoids!
Looking at about a month to release The Flesh Weavers, maybe less.

Sorry WM, I thoroughly despise Twitter. I have NEVER been THAT social or that willing to "share" anything about my life with who-knows-what kind of people. Been on the internet too long to trust anyone Anon person that much. Way to easy to data-mine or gather identity info for identity theft or worse. I have a fictional persona account on Facebook but I don't even use it anymore since they are allowing so much data-mining & 3rd party access to info (& taking away or obfuscating more & more of the ways you could prevent others from getting info from your account). I was weened on the dial-up BBS systems, I learned a little paranoia can save your ass lol.

Hi Thorneldrich,
Yeah, I worry about Facebook the most, and why I am not very good at keeping things updated there. I find that Twitter suits me best because I can update it easily from my iPhone while out and about, although to have the mobile app for this forum, too.
As for The Flesh Weavers, I am finishing the pencil art this week and will probably begin inking the last half of it, too. The first half of the art is done and inked, and I am not turning my mind to a cover image... something creepy.

Update June 16 2015
We now know the final page count and price for The Flesh Weavers: 104 pages and retail for $14.99 for the print version and $6.99 for the PDF. Not yet sure what the double barrel print+PDF price will be. We may need to add some shipping costs so as to earn some coin after all this.
The rest of the week involves finishing the final edit and inserting those changes, completing the back cover text, creating banner ads and the other promotional online items for the site, and working on making the PDF version 's table of contents and page numbers all clickable links within the document (a big chore).
I had hoped to get his book out in mid May but as many of you know we had a bit of a medical emergency with my youngest daughter. It involved two air ambulance flights, a week long stay in BC children's Hospital and then a week back in the Kamloops hospital and many weeks of home and weekly Hospital IV treatments. She is recovering well after a Abscess that grew out of a sinus infection that got up between her brain and skull and had to have quite a serious surgery that left large stitches on her head. She's only 7 so this has been quite a trial. Anyhow, they seem to have rid her of the rare infection and she is mending well. As you can guess, working during all this has been tough, partially because I was simply not in the studio. At any rate, I am able to focus more on The Mutant Epoch again and working hard at trying to catch up. My Apologies if I haven't answered back some of your tweets and emails, nor released a newsletter in awhile or kept up on the forums here.
New Creatures of the Apocalypse and a One Day Dig by Danny Seedhouse (Lilac Towers) are all in the works and coming shortly after the release of The Flesh Weavers. Thanks for your patience.
PS. 200 yeas ago today the opening phases of the Battle of Waterloo began. I am fascinated by this battle and Napoleon in general. Although there will be some commemorative 1/72nd wargaming happening tonight, and some red wine spilled.
