Carla/Carlos

I'm in the process of writing and drawing more npc's for Chapel. It's a slow process thought and I wish I had more time. Here I present you the mysterious Carla Carlos, the ghost mutant who's working for Vinnie Taxus the barber. She's actually a whore that hid in Vinnie's backstore during the day. My players have yet to pay the mutant badger a visit before even knowing about her. It will be a fun little surprise for them.
Carla/Carlos - 2nd rank Ghost Mutant Slave (Court)
Character Sheet: Carla/Carlos 2nd rank Ghost Mutant Slave (Court)
Background: Carla was a typical street urchin with no parents living in the streets of Union. At thirteen she found out she was a ghost mutant. She left Union soon after, preferring to leave this town of purist humans instead of some day being discovered... and probably killed. This is where she met Vinnie Taxus, a mutant badger, near the town of Chapel. Vinnie Taxus saved her life twice. On their first meeting she was about to become the evening supper for a band of skullocks scavengers. The second time, as her mutations began to reveal itself more and more she nearly burned alive because of a severe photo sensitivity [Damage: d6 per minute]. Vinnie saved her life twice and for that she's eternally thankful to him. He is a strange father figure type in her life but he is her boss too and she must earn money for him. Vinnie is a greedy and sometimes severe man but she respect him for what he has done knowing that he would do it again to save her. This is why a little sex of the side to bring money ain't that bad, and if things goes bad with a client, she knows Vinnie will take care of it. Like that time with that mean cyborg traveler. She never heard from him again...
Carla/Carlos In Your Campaign: Carla is not your typical whore, the ability to switch gender can be worth a lot of silver just in itself. In Chapel, Carla is the adopted daughter of a friendly, smiling but ruthless mutant merchant. If Vinnie does not exist in your campaign, Carla could have developed a real following of loyal patrons to hide behind, or enter the service of a powerful individual. In my campaign, without her story with Vinnie, Carla would have end up in the service of the most powerful person around; The Baron of California. Carla is also deadly allergic to the sun and that make her a night person with pale skin complexion, only seen at night or in shady places. Rumors could flourish about the lady "who only appear at night" with pale white silky skin. That could lead her to several complications if theft was committed at night or if exsanguinated bodies were to be found. The reverse is also true. Carla could also develop a solid reputation if the peoples were to be superstitious. And lastly, Carla's most impressive ability allows her to perfectly change identity in a matter of minutes (or seconds). In her male form, she's bigger and her hair darker. She's so used to switch between form that she develop a real talent at changing her body language and speech (Disguise Artist 2 points). So if things goes bad for her, she can always switch to her male form and leave town. In your campaign, Carla could be a spy instead of a simple town whore. Give her some sun lotion and sunglasses and she will be able to travel and accomplish various missions.
