Hi, I got the core book for this about a month or so ago. Two weeks ago I had what i thing is a great idea, the Seven Bandit Lords. I don't have all seven yet (only 6) and am plagued by writers block. The ones I do have are as fallowed Screacher: mutant cyborg with the sonic attack mutations and the loudspeaker implant. He is a road warrior type who spends his time raiding the norther freeholds trade lines. Ripjaw: An oversize beast human crock who captains a ship near sarrow and steel hill. He is currently working at becoming the pirate king Half-life: A tech genius who was irradiated and lived. Is now in a Mr. Freeze style suit. Typically just hijacks bots and other tech but is now kidnapping people for an unknown reason. Madam Ruso: A grotesque mutant (think of a female Jaba the hut) that has a pharmaon that makes her irrisastable to those attracted to women. She is the ring leader of the lords and the freeholds. Expermant 694: A Skullox that has been tested on and had his dna changed. he is hyper intelligent and is working on uniting all the tribes of his people. Arathonal the blood god: A freakish horror who kidnaps people to fight in his arena. He also has some unique mutations that i haven't quite worked out yet. I would love to know what all of you think. i am sorry for all of my spelling. Read more: mutantepochforum.boards.net/thread/474/bandit-lords#ixzz48UwynZqi

sounds interesting... Experiment 694 has potential. Who did the experiments? Why? Did it alter his DNA enough to cause any children he sires to become a divergent sub-species of Skullock or is he sterile? Does he suffer from any mental instabilities (outside of the normal ones present in skullocks already)? Is he a megalomaniac or just wants revenge?

The way I was thinking of it was that 694 was made by the seventh lord and killed him thus taking his place. How ever now the remaining 6 are trying to stop 694. And Thank you for all the suggestions I haven't fully flushed him out.

The way I was thinking of it was that 694 was made by the seventh lord and killed him thus taking his place. How ever now the remaining 6 are trying to stop 694. And Thank you for all the suggestions I haven't fully flushed him out. This could be a fun part of the adventure. The players are hinted to the bandit lords, and slowly start taking them down. Eventually they find out (from #6) that they were trying to keep #7 in check, and the players just screwed that up royally. Now they have to face a united Skullock army that will sweep the wastelands. But interesting variety of bandits: Screecher - ranged attacks Ripjaw - physical power Half-life - tech capabilities Madam Ruso - emotional control Arathonol - physical power Experiment 694 - charisma/the horde How about this for a bandit lord: Spider - uses mental powers to create a web of people that will obey him/her. By him/herself Spider is weak, but the mental control over others means you never know if the person sitting behind the table with the bodyguards is the real Spider, or another brainwashed minion. If you can cultivate Spider into being a contact you can have an excellent information broker. If not, the players wonder why everyone they meet wants to kill them (more than usual). The key is when Spider's control is light, the locals' loyalty is just shifted to Spider, rather than ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL all the time. This would make a small town very well defended and organized (if one person gets in trouble, Spider can 'see' through them and route other people to the location, letting them know what they are dealing with). Instead of having to pay people extra for the dirty jobs, the people do it out of loyalty to Spider. The location might simulate a cult in terms of loyalties, but the mysterious sPider does his/her best to remain hidden. Of course Spider might try to learn several weapon and hand to hand skills, so when the ASSUME DIRECT CONTROL is done, the poor NPC suddenly becomes kung-fu master, or is able to use any weapon. If you kill that person, Spider can just possess another body and make them super-skilled all over again. To create Spider, you'd need someone with lots of Telepathy, a strong will, and the ability to multi-task. Even more fun is if Spider is a mutant second brain so even if the players scan the minds of everyone in the village, the second brain can keep on controlling them.

That is an amazing idea! Do you mind if i use it? Only thing I would add is the ablility to wipe a persons mind so that if anyone finds out about the control he/she can fix it.
This really is perfect by the way. my goal in creating the lords is that they strongly influnce or control parts of the freeholds and Spider is like the last puzzle piece.

Go right ahead, just share with us afterward how the group had to deal with the Spider. "What do you mean the Spider's back? We killed everyone at the prior base!" "Except the janitor." "Why would The Spider disguise himself as the janitor if he didn't know we were coming?" For wiping minds, that would be a nice partner with Telepathy. It is also good for someone that owes him a favor, and the Spider wants to keep the person owing him a favor. "No, you didn't do it to pay back the favor, you did it because you wanted to and they had plenty of loot to grab. Remember telling me that before we got started?"
