Hello, I thought that linear decreasing Hazardtable would be nice. So here it is. The area coloured in red is the range of unmodified attributes. If you add the blue colour you got 85% of all starting attributes. It may help to determine the common danger of something. Attachments:Hazard Check Table.pdf (86.02 KB)

Hey Verminlord, I just woke up and my head is not 100% yet but I can't seem to wrap my brains around this. Can you explain it a bit more for me?

I try I was looking at the HCT and noticed that there are leaps between trait value that seemed to me strange. As example if your are looking at column A you notice that the gap between 0 or less is lesser then the gap between 4 and 5. I couldn't find some order in the columns that made sense to me (I'm sure there is some but I couldn't find it). It seemed logical that the lesser trait number had a steeper climb to higher percentage, but is was not regular. I just made it regular where I could, basically adding everytime a lower number, like 10+9+8+7+6 etc. This didn't work out always because it has to go in both direction, down and right. So there are filling numbers but they are always lower or the same than the number before and the number left. (10+9+8+8+7+7 etc). I didn't change the start and end percent number on the column, if I could. I was also interested which trait numbers are used most. Even with the changes from Types and Rank you will have most of the times the range between 15 and 51. If I just need a quick decision which Hazard level I choose I have marked this area red and blue, where red marks the normal. Attachments:

Hey verminlord99, I'm can't get the file; "invalid attachment name" or something.
If you're talking about smoothing the HC progression, I'm all for it. It would be nice if everything stacked according to some formula per Trait grouping. Like A is +3/Trait group, B +5, C +10 etc. That way, I could memorize the break points for Traits, think about the HC letter code and know the %.
I've had similar thoughts on skill progression. I have to look them up every time as each one has different bonuses.

OK, I can see it now. I don't mind the line slope of the data so much as the uneven number progression.

Will has been busy recently and maybe he will able to shine a light more on the birth of the HC table so we might get more insight on how it was created when he is less swamped.

I corrected my table again and added a diagram. I'm all agreeing that smoothing out would really nice.

That's interesting. Are you keeping the average Traits the same as in the book for your game? The RAW (rules as written) Hazard Chart shows us that a person with bare average stats will succeed in an easy task more than half the time. (17-25 makes an A on 1-60%). Your chart puts the bare average Trait a little over 50. Which is expected on a 1-100 Trait scale type of game, but ME is not a 1-100 scale for Traits. I appreciate the added work and I love to see what other GM's make for their games. Everybody on these forums makes my game better. With that said, why is your chart so very hard? If I had to roll on that chart, I'd hang myself with the shower curtain each time I took a bath and wouldn't be able to drive myself to work for fear of running off the road. My Traits just ain't that good.

My Traits just ain't that good. Please note that I prefer my first version of the chart, I added the second because you suggested that an evenly distributed chart would be nice. That is also why it is very hard and I would not recommend it to use. Here is a another one, where numbers are mostly rounded to the next 5 or 10 and in Gamma World ACT Style.
