h-e-y- what about this as a space opera setting, let the earth post apoc stay as it but expand into the universe with a galactic post apoc setting- why play on only one rock when you can travel the universe to other worlds, maybe there was a galatic united worlds that fell to a massive war with the old ones or maybe a rift in another universe allowed planet eating enties to destroy the great galatic civilization. its just an ideal or upping the stakes.

Howdy, I had some similar notions. Check out Alastair Reynold's Chasm City or his Pushing Ice novel.
I love the Ashes of the Old Empire feel. The world of TME could be but a sliver of what was lost.

yes I do like the space opera PA too and I Think TME would be great for a space opera and WM said that he had a writer friend who was writing a science fiction setting. so I need to get better on my ART and my writing so I can work for these Guys some day.

I have extensively posted lots of material on this forum about how space adventures function in my Epoch campaign. Its a lot to digest but if you read it im sure you wont be disappointed areafiftyonegames! Maybe you could even use some of it for your games i dont mind. If you use any of it and make changes to it please let me know what you came up with it would be interesting to see what other people add or subtract to it.
