keep up the good work man, don't get discouraged. I am loving the new characters you have been making and would like to see more. Remember there is a heroes of the Epoch thread here on the forum and when we get about 100 characters in there William will publish a book of the characters we make. Only one problem, each member of SOE can only most five characters. I did that myself within the first five minutes of the thread being up, But I encourage you to add to it and hopefully that project will come back to life. I do hope he lifts that cap because ill post twenty or thirty more characters myself. Thanks for the encouragement, Rex! I'm still working on characters, but most of my gaming time is being taken up with a great 3.5 game DM'd by a friend of mine. I'll get my favorite five characters I've posted here moved over to the Heroes of the Epoch thread today. I will admit, though, that I'm discouraged in general. It seems like the forum is dead, and even though Mr. McA is regularly tweeting images he's working on, it seems like work on material is at a standstill. I'm probably wrong, and I'll admit it... I don't know all the goings on behind the scenes. I will say that I'm looking forward to the Expansion rules more than just about anything else. Regardless, thanks again for your words. Now you've gotten me all fired up for TME again... time to go wander the wasteland and find characters to report on! Tim

Next character up: Finn Sawyer, pure stock human
Ordinarily I prefer non-pure stock characters, but they're great to have around for laughs. Everyone likes to have a "norm" around to joke about.
Name: Finn Sawyer Hair color: Black Eyes: Green Skin: Brown Home Area: Sea Home Language: Common Age: 23
Character Type: Pure Stock Human Pre-Game Caste: Nomad Outfitting Code: PR Read/Write? Yes Math? No Height/Weight: 91kg (200), 190cm (6’ 4”) Handedness: Left Swimming: Can’t Swim Move: 6m (5m in armor) #Attacks/Rd: 1 BASE SV 0-50 BASE DV -29 in armor, breast plate and helmet Money:
END 23 Healing Rate: 3 STR 43 Damage: +2 Range: +10% AGL 30 DV Bonus: 0 Move Rate Mod: 0 ACC 29 SV Bonus: 0 INT 31 PRC 23 Initiative Modifier: 0 WLP 34 APP 58
Skills: Rider 1 Navigate by Stars 1 Driver 1 Medic 1
Gear: Crossbow (+8 SV, rate 1 every 3rd round, d20+1 damage, range 60m) 19 Crossbow Bolts Dagger (d10 damage) Leather Armor (-10 DV, -0.25m movement, 4kg) Breast Plate (-15 DV, -0.5m movement, 10kg) Iron Helmet (-4 DV, -0.25m movement, 1.5kg) Medic Bag 14sp Tinder box 10 torches 8 candles Cutlery set Full water skin (2L water) Summer sleeping bag Coin pouch Backpack 7m of rope Sewing kit Whetstone Shovel Work boots & work gloves Poncho Cotton pants and shirt 13 days of dried rations
History: Finn Sawyer was born in Sea Home (he thinks he remembers parts of it) but he’s never been back there since he was a child. His parents were nomads, and had only stayed a few days for the baby delivery. Finn has been on the road his whole life, with his horse and his family. He’s had to say goodbye to both; some very unwise betting decisions left him with no choice but to sneak off in the dark. Now he’s an excavator, hoping for the big score to be able to pay off his debts and find his wandering family.

So many of my characters have tragic backgrounds, and this one is no different. The world of The Mutant Epoch is a very harsh one, and there are few who could say that they've had a break.
Name: Coraline Hair color: Brown Eyes: Brown Skin: Fair Home Area: High Watch, in the Holy Purist Empire Language: Common Age: 20
Character Type: Ghost Mutant Pre-Game Caste: Farmer Outfitting Code: PR Read/Write? No Math? No Height/Weight: 64kg (141lbs), 168cm (5’ 5”) Handedness: Right Swimming: Can’t Swim Move: 6m #Attacks/Rd: 1 BASE SV BASE DV Money: 7sp
END 25 Healing Rate: 3 STR 44 Damage: +2 Range: +10% AGL 15 DV Bonus: Move Rate Mod: ACC 20 SV Bonus: INT 34 PRC 95 Initiative Modifier: +3 WLP 40 APP 33
Skills: Weapons Expert (Pitchfork) 3 (+8 SV, +6 damage) Brawling 1 (+3 SV, +1 damage, +2 spit/sand)
Mutations (2): Radioactive Pulse 40m range, use 1x day/rank, +10 SV, damage d20 + radiation, Heal Touch Use 2x day/rank, heals d20+10 END
Gear: Hatchet (d12 damage) Leather Armor (-10 DV, -0.25m movement, 4kg) Tinder box 4 torches 6 candles Cutlery set Full water skin (2L water) Summer sleeping bag Coin pouch Backpack 4m of rope Sewing kit Whetstone Shovel Work boots & work gloves Poncho Cotton pants and shirt 22 days of dried rations
History: She had been so careful. No one knew, not even her parents. Coraline had managed to grow up, get married, have children, and even though life was tough as the wife of a farmer, it was her life and she did just fine. She only ever used the radiation pulse once or twice to protect herself, and only when alone and deep in the woods. She once had to heal her first baby, but luckily her husband didn’t know the first thing about caring for children and just assumed she knew what she was doing. Unfortunately, that simple life didn’t last. It couldn’t last. Harry, her husband, suffered a grievous injury from a cougar that had wandered into their farmland. She had no choice. She tried to wait until he had gone unconscious from loss of blood, but the injury couldn’t wait. She healed him, and hoped for a good reaction. It wasn’t. Harry, repulsed by her “witch powers” drove her out, drove her from her children, and threatened to kill her should she ever return. The loss of her old life was insignificant to the loss of her children, and Coraline hopes to one day reunite with them, even if it must wait until they are grown. Luckily, Coraline had been prepared for the worst for years, and had a secret stash of gear hidden away should she need it someday. Now she’s an excavator, trying to find a new life, trying to forget.

The Epoch Forum has never been what you would call hoppin! The game is amazing and William Mcausland is an amazing artist, but its slow going from what I've heard. If more people can get the word out and support this game, give it a real platform to reach the masses it is bound to take off since its so good. At least that is my opinion anyways. I love this game, its far superior in story depth then any other post apocalypse game out there by far. Only time will tell if it becomes big or not, but either way I love it and will always be a patron of this franchise.

So I've just noticed that the Expansion Book release date has been pushed to Spring 17 from December 16. Dang! There's no RPG book I'm looking forward to more. New character types (hopefully including mutant plant types!), hopefully new mutations, gear, skills, and whatever else WM can throw at us. I'd also like to see someday another part of the world defined. I was looking through all 7(!) versions of Gamma World that had been printed, and even though in my opinion 3rd was the last good one, it still doesn't have the richness of character that TME has.
EDIT: It's now just about two weeks until Christmas, 2022. Still no expansion, but there does seem to be some hope on the horizon.

I just found this game, and I'm loving the characters that you can create. Most definitely getting the Hub rule soon as I get some extra cash.

Welcome and you'll love it. I created a Character sheet self-filling PDF. Feel free to check it out. It's not perfect but it works.

Unsure, though I'd just support the works anyways. The digital PDF isn't excessive in cost.
OOO I get what you meant now, I'm sure he is when you send in the purchase code. Send an email to Outland Arts just to make sure, he replies within a day usually.

Today anybody has an iOS phone. iPads are so widespread that this has led to developing a millions of applications that provide servises such as mobile games, entertainment and many others. To download any app a user must get an account at Apple Store. But not all apps are available there as they don't meet the Apple rules. To combat this a new app was developed named TutuApp. This helper works on iOS run smartphones and tablets and it has the biggest store of apps. We name a few: Minecraft, Fortnite, Pokemon and many others. They come with zero ads and locked content! Whant to know more? Visit <a href=https://tutuapp-app.com/ios/>TutuApp iOs Free</a> to download TutuApp for free on your iOS tablet. Installation instructions for TutuApp Helper are available at that page.

Hey man, can I paraphrase this for a fictional short story for my Humanities Last Hope Campaign that I run for my gaming group of grognards? It's a homebrew mash-up of Gamma World (1st-4th editions), The Morrow Project, heavy TME influence, and our old Start Frontiers campaign from the 90's. So many of my characters have tragic backgrounds, and this one is no different. The world of The Mutant Epoch is a very harsh one, and there are few who could say that they've had a break. Just in case anyone comes across this board looking for characters, I've posted mine above as well as about 40 others in a Mega character portfolio available "pay what you want" on DriveThruRPG.com. Tim
Chris, I know this reply is probably years late, but welcome to it!
