Here's a no frills character sheet pdf. My group was having a hard time finding everything quickly during game play. I'm still playing around with this, so if you want anything moved around, just let me know. The xls version will be made available soon. I'd like to add drop boxes for skills, armor, weapons, mutations, etc. I'll have to teach myself that in whatever free time I can find. Tme Character sheet color.pdf (272.95 KB) No color B&W. Tme_Character_sheet.pdf (30.6 KB)

Now that a think about it... how do you convert Pdf files to excel? I'd like to make an editable version of the official character sheet!

1) There are some programs out there that will do it. You might have to do a bit of formatting to get it right. I did. The good ones cost money because they're pretty smart and intuitive. Most of these are aren't cheap, but save you time if converting an entire book of tables and charts. 2) You can also save a pdf as a txt file, in Word, then open Excel and import the txt file. Again, you might have to do a bit of formating, but that's the easy way to convert one or two tables and smaller files for free. After playing around a bit, I've already found some areas of my character sheet I want to change.

Thanks man! Really well done I've been trying a bit with excel and word ( open office version ) and I've come up with this TME excel Char Sheet.ods (390.04 KB) TME word Char Sheet.odt (358.37 KB) The lines are a bit messed up ( you're warned!) but it has the official TME graphic. Check it out if you want!

I like what you're doing there. I started with paper and pencil and that is my favorite way to game. So many people have palms, pads, ibooks and smart phones, I would like something that is easy to access and can level Rank or generate a specific Rank NPC/Character at the touch of a button. IMHO, There's nothing wrong with using tech in games; it definitely has a place. I have an unfinished excel character sheet. This is a work in progress. I haven't done work like this in years so I'm having to learn it all again. If anyone is experienced with this sort of thing and wants to help, I'd appreciate it. Right now I'm trying to hammer out nested drop down lists that bring up specific drop down lists. For example: Choosing " Type: Bestial Human", it should bring up a list of Bestial Human choices and modify stats. I'm not there yet. Probably an IFTHEN or INDIRECT.. I understand that there are better/smarter ways to code this, better excel commands to use than my caveman brooding. I'm not as familiar with the more advanced excel functions. I have included a lot of tables from the book (at least a good chunk of data entry is done), just not sure about the implementation. If anyone would like to collaborate, here's the file. TmeCharactergen1.xlsx (110.95 KB) Perhaps we can back and forth info until it's done. EDIT: I've changed a few things, here and there, still not finished. Tme Character sheet colorIIbakup.xlsx (123.21 KB) I don't own this material and you know who does so don't break the law and charge anyone, ever, for something you don't own. I'm not trying to break copyrights. This effort is meant as genuine praise.

My excel character generator/tracker is getting closer to a usable format. TME CHARSHEET_11_23.xlsx (186.56 KB) It is still far from finished but parts of it actually work.

I have a few more bells and whistles complete! Trait values don't recalc each time you swap helmets! I did have to use a macro, which I wanted to avoid (Some people don't trust 'em.), but there was no way around it with my still limited knowledge.. Check it out, help out, feed back is welcome. Thanks maxstone! There is still a ways to go. (Don't know if this is a southern US affectation. Pluralizing "way" denotes a longer distance or more work. ) I loaded it in Open Office. Darn! I spent so much time with those IFERROR statements. I didn't want it to look "messed up" if someone entered their own values. Seeing ###, or #NA everywhere is what I was trying to avoid.. Remove IFERROR from the formula when in Open Office and it will look cleaner. If you enlarge columns P and Q on the Character sheet, Trait values are in P4:P11, Q4:Q11. The background and text have the same color, but the values are there. Trouble is that excel recalc's my random numbers every time you made another selection. That's why I made the macro to grab numbers, then they won't change. Hmmm, none of the drop down boxes work in Open Office... Not Caste, Type, Armor... I'll have to work on that, too. I'll have to do some homework with Open Office and getting the two compatible. Thanks for the support. TME CHARSHEET_11_29.xlsm (201.01 KB)

Hope I didn't give you more "ways to go" bringing up the open office topic!! I checked out the last version with open office and some drop boxes are working for me ( type, sub type, caste). Trait values seem to be not connected to the other stat...I've also tried deactivating the macro security option but nothing happened. I'll just use Office on my PC at home. Do you still need some help with this? I'm not familiar with the formulas but I could help writing charts in office format if needed!

I'm not familiar with the formulas, either. I'd welcome any contributions, even if it's just a wish list/refinement to help out your specific game. Examples: "My players want to add Beastial Chickens so we can play Famine in Fargo. Add them".(Stats are around here...) "My group doesn't need Death States, they want Rank Based Criticals.." "I allow a second Caste if the PC's add X years to starting age.. put this in." "Why not use a point buy system for chargen like in the book examples?" "My group likes/dislikes this or that, change it." Mutations and Implants aren't quite there yet.. I would like random starting kits to display a list of gear, auto filling weapon stats. Numerous other tweaks. I'm already thinking about a GM's Helper version. Automatic "What's available in this store today". Random encounters based on Rank. Spontaneous Human Combustion Table; just kidding.

OK, I've made a bit more progress. Height and Weight are auto adjusted for each Type of character. You can only pick a specific skill once and it's then removed from the drop down list of new skills; finally. Trait values now go up to 500! You can only enter up to 300, yourself. The rest will have to be from extreme character bonuses. Eventually, I want to make 500 the limit for Freakish Horrors.. (Thanks rexbannon.)

eenteresting, would you like to port this to javascript? i have some knowledge of java, html, and css, and could probably make a half decent web page / program to do this. and from there, we need sprites, a basic dice roller, and encounter tables and we have a video game...i guess...it would probably be ultima level, but w/e. actually hmmm maybe not a half bad idea. muahahahahahahahahaha.
game may not happen, ever, but i would do the website thing to the best of my ability
[edit] on second thought, ill just make a java app
