Two of our fold have passed on from this mortal coil. I immortalize them here and now with a heavy heart for there lose.
The first was the Mighty mutant cyborg deputy of Cacto town known as Rex Bannon. Born a mutant with four bladed arms he travelled the wastes in search of glory. He was upgraded to a cyborg by the lords of overpass due to his high potential and given the job of deputy in a back water stop off point on the caravan route to pitford to prove himself. During the course of his travles he defeated a J22 Samurai heavy combot that was being remote controlled by the hated Major Tanner of the space station Orion. He did so with no thought of himself in order to save his group and the freezies of red crater. Alas Major Tanner would have her revenge in the end. She sent a strike team to earth on a untied terran space marine drop ship to eliminate Rex Bannon for his bold destruction of the J22. Rex Bannon and his compatriots gave a good fight and destroyed the five combat androids and pinned down their commanding officer Lt. Vega of the drop reaper corps of space marines. Major Tanner made an executive decision that Lt. Vega was lost and remotely took control of the drop ship and fired its entire payload of advanced rockets at the badly injured Rex Bannon. He didnt stand a chance. Rex Bannon went out in a blaze of glory and will never be forgotten. Lt. Vega was taken into custody and revealed that he objected to the mission in the first place but could not disobey his commanding officer , so was forced to come to the planet to attack the group. The party took pity on Lt. Vega who was now stranded on the planet left to die. They let Lt. Vega live and even join there group. In the end Lt. Vega pledged to them he would make up for the loss of their friend.

The Second is the Ghost mutant Tanto. Once a caravan guard from overpass making routine escorts to and from pitford. He Was a quiet but effective member of the PC's group. His favored weapons were his twin energy swords that were called the purple penetrator and rosey palmer. Using his two energy swords much like a quiet jedi master with two light sabers Tanto was a combat monster in melee. Once the party arrived in pitford toghter for the first time, they decided to anounce themselves in a big way. They approach Mitcho Lazuth of the champions arena and made him an offer he could not refuse. The group bet all of the money they had made off of their adventures in the red crater on one championship match. During this match Tanto was overcome by to giants welding two handed swords that where to much for him to defend agaisnt. He was cut down in his prime and will not be forgotten.

Thanks for the write up! Can you post their character sheets. I'd love to see them. I'm working on some new sheets for my group. Have you found anything oddly placed or would like something moved around from the standard setup?

I also want to add them to the dead pile of the mutant epoch website. Just got to find time with my two yr old daughter running around to scan and upload them is all lol. These characters are on sheets that i made based on the original. I made them using excel, they came out pretty good but we have been making new characters using the sheets foun on this site.

Ah, Good old Rex Bannon, my mighty cyborg. Died like equally the mighty Chewbacca, when a Moon was dropped on his head! look, up in the sky, its a bird? its a plane? nope, its the moon about to crash into you. SQUSH! to be honest, I was a little ticked when in happened, but he did soak up a lot of fire in the previous couple of episodes making life a little difficult for our GM. we had a lot of fun with "picking up the pieces" humor after words, so no biggie. I think its a little funny, that of our teem, the two characters with the most character, were the first to die.

Tanto fought valiantly in the arena before his demise and rex bannon will live on as a hero to the peoples of cacto town for generations to come. They were good characters that got cut down in there prime. The characters that follow them will have big shoes to fill. There is more epoch to be played and more outlandish adventures to be had in the wastelands still. Who knows what story's await us ? One thing is for sure though, they will be epic! An who knows maybe we will see rex bannon again someday like a mirage in the desert.

Gotcha. I thought he was named after the knife. Dual Energy Swords.. that is tough. Were they similar damage?
(One of the reasons I've wanted a damage reduction for armors was this mutation and the "Laser" Sword. I wanted to simulate some weapons cut through armor better than others, making it unusable after a few serious hits.)

The unfortunate Junky-Bot, crushed by an angry Garnock. ( was a friendly servant bot , not a PC, but we'll miss his presence )

He had the red one and the purple one. I think the damage was like d20 for red and 2d20 for purple. Thing of it is i dont allow PC's to use WE in energy sword because its not a physical mutation. Thats all the damage they will ever do. Its still good damage and the energy swords can only be taken away if i cut off both of his hands. It would have been interesting if i only cut off one hand. The booksays that if this happens the the energy sword over time goes to the other hand and since he has a sword there already ? I would have ruled that he would have both swords coming out of his knuckles like wolverine at that point.

I see where you're coming from and respect the call. I would allow it in my game. For me, it's a physical field of force vaguely sword shaped. Once "on", it's now a weapon arm. I see it similar to a sword that can be pulled from a sheath, bladed cesta, or such. Your game, your rules!
